Red the color of this Fall/ Winter 2017

Red in the Windwood Walls

September is here and that means my favorite season is on its way. And what a better way to come back to blogging than to write about the best trends of the season. One of the most important things I try to see during the fashion weeks are the fabrics and colors used on the runways. Every year every trend is mostly defined by a color or a specific fabric. This year not only tweed and timeless prints like the checked print or stamped metallics are making a huge comeback but everything you see is red.

I know what you may be thinking, “red?” “really? Bright colors for fall?”. The majority of the people I’ve talked to or showed how red is everywhere were skeptic about it or didn’t believe it. It was not until big retailers started to show red on their fall and winter collections that people started realizing that a pop of color in your all-black outfit is never a bad thing.

I think that it’s been a long time since designers actually used color into such a dark and grayscaled season. Besides, there is nothing that makes a woman be more confident than red. That’s why I chose to go bolder and wore not only a red piece but I used the red in a way not many would, to make it pop out even more. Combining the pleated skirt trend in red and bright red lips.

Of course, red is not the only color you should be thinking about, pink is also being used a lot especially when metalized. And of course, never forget golden details and white t-shirts. The way you combine it will reflect your own personality, but remember for this Fall/ Winter 2017 we definitely wear red!
