Christmas recipe: Gingerbread Cookies

It’s almost 2017 and being the Christmas freak I am, almost everything I do, eat, drink and wear is season related. I thought what a beter idea to make my blog a bit more christmassy than to share with you my favourite season recipe: gingerbread cookies.

 

There are few things as great as the smell of fresh baked gingerbread cookies at home. With the fire place on, and a great Christmas film you are probably about to have the cosiest night ever. This sweet treats represent my favourite season, with great flavour and awesome memories. I hope you enjoy.

 

 

What you’ll need:

Mix the butter and the brown sugar until creamy and fluffy. Try doing it with a mixer, you want your cookies to be soft and if the sugar is not well blended they could get harder easily. Add then the rest of the dry ingredients until well blended.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes in the fridge. After that extend it in a flat surface. Cut the dough into shapes and then place them in the oven at 350° for about 10 to 12 minutes .

Now comes the fun part, decorating your delicious gingerbread cookies.

After getting the different pipes with different colours it’s all about creativity, imagination and mostly festive fun. Gather all your friends and family and enjoy a cozy night in.
