Face masks are skin lifesavers. Specially when you can prepare them yourself with natural products. There are so many benefits for our skin in so many different products that we use daily and we don’t even know it. Lately I have been having problems with my skin, pimples and breakouts I decided to do a little research.
My favourite masks are frankly the most crazy ones. Who would have thought that honey and cinnamon would solve all the redness and swollen pimples on my face? The best part of it is that they are easy to prepare, with beneficial ingredients that you only apply for 10 minutes and you get amazing results.
Honey and Cinnamon Mask
A sticky and spicy solution to all your problems. Although not everyone would thing to use honey as a mask for your face they make a great combination against acne. They both have antimicrobial and anti-biotic l properties that will keep the breakouts under control and heal it.
Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon. Blend it well and apply to your face for 10 to 12 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Tip: have some paper towels around because it can melt a bit around the chin.
Water and Baking Soda
Baking soda is perfect to be used as a soothing and antiseptic formula. It also exfoliates and reduces excess oils and impurities on your face which for many is really helpful when trying to clear your skin up.
All you need is a box of baking soda and fresh water. For a facial mask add the same parts of water and baking soda, mix it well, apply it and let it work on your face for about 15 minutes. Add a bit more baking soda for a scrub. Rub it carefully for 2 minutes and then rinse it off.
I am no expert but I do love both of this masks and use them a lot. The helped a lot with clearing up my skin and who doesn’t love to have an at home spa.
